Call for proposals for Community-based Competitive Fund

We are glad to announce the Call for Proposals for Community – based Competitive Fund, in the framework of the Landscape Fire Management in the Western Balkans (LFMWB) Programme, financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation – SDC, coordinated by Farmahem.

The overall goal of the call is to actively engage local communities in applying landscape fire management while safeguarding and maintaining landscapes and improving local livelihoods.

Community-based projects should be implemented in the Western Balkans region, particularly in areas vulnerable to fires. By empowering communities and emphasizing evidence-based practices, the LFMWB Programme paves the way for landscapes and livelihoods to be safeguarded from the devastating impact of fires and build a sustainable path toward effective LFM in the Western Balkans.

Еligible applicants such as Civil society organizations (CSOs); Local government units (municipalities etc.); Public sector (e.g. public enterprises, local agencies etc.); Local research and educational organization/institution; Management authorities of protected areas or Other local organizations/institutions related to LFM, can apply for community-based projects of up to 30.000 CHF/per project (on the local level) or up to 80.000 CHF/per project for cross-border initiatives.

The application procedure for the call is electronic. To apply on the Call, Applicants need to create user profile on the platform: https://applications.lfmwb.net/login. Upon the registration, in order to understand the main features of the Call, and develop their proposals, applicants are encouraged to dowload and carefully read the Guidelines for Applicants for Community-based Competitive Fund and Instuctions for on-line application, available on the platform.
