As part of the SDC’s Landscape Fire Management in the Western Balkans (LFMWB) Programme, a Training for Trainers on Participatory Training Methods took place from December 18th to December 21st, 2023 in Skopje. The Regional Executive Agency (REA) organized this training, which was specifically targeted for the Country Project Staff and the team at the Regional Fire Monitoring Center (RFMC).
Led by the experienced trainer, Mr. Aleksandar Karaev, the comprehensive training witnessed active participation from 12 Programme partners. Throughout the training, participants explored various topics through engaging and interactive sessions. The training aimed to cultivate an understanding of the adult learning process. It emphasized the importance of effective knowledge management and introduced techniques to enhance the learning process and improve communication effectiveness.
The participants were introduced to essential facilitation and training methods with a strong focus on practical application. Role-playing scenarios were incorporated to address potential challenges and conflicts during group work, providing participants with opportunities to actively enhance their presentation skills and improve group engagement.
Going beyond individual development, the training aimed to equip participants with basic methodical-didactical knowledge to effectively apply participatory training methods. The overarching objective was to empower the participants as multipliers within their professional spheres, enabling them to share their expertise and methodical knowledge with colleagues and stakeholders. This collaborative approach aimed for a ripple effect, enhancing capabilities of the participants related to facilitating knowledge transfer within the broader professional community.
